Senate confirms 3 new members of ASEDA Board

The Senate has confirmed three new members of the American Samoa Economic Development Authority Board of Directors.

They are Christopher King, Director of Port Administration, Attorney General, Fainu’ulelei Ala’ilima Utu and Jason Mitchell, the governor’s legal counsel.

Fainu’ulelei was confirmed by unanimous vote, King was approved by a vote of 16-1 and Mitchell was confirmed by a vote of 14-3.

The ASEDA Board members must also be confirmed by the House of Representatives.

The Fono has already approved Treasurer Malemo Tausaga for the ASEDA Board.
