At yesterday’s Dept. of Health media conference, it was explained travelers on the upcoming repatriation flights to American Samoa will not be required to have the COVID-19 vaccine.

However, in order to board the flight, all travelers will be required to voluntarily spend 10 days in quarantine in Hawaii and 14 days in quarantine in American Samoa. And be Covid 19 tested twice in Hawaii and three times here.

Acting Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua said vaccines may become a requirement in the future but for now it presents a hardship for our people especially when vaccination of the public is not available in all states.
