SOFIAS, Sosiate o Faafafine I Amerika Samoa, delivered Christmas gifts to children in the LBJ Pediatric Ward and flowers to the nursing staff today.
This is one of the annual community service projects of the organization though this year the number of members participating was small. 
The COVID-10 pandemic prevented SOFIAS President Trina Vee Tuimalealiifano and reigning Miss SOFIAS Vanessa Simanu, who are both island from participating but they contributed much of the funds used for the annual gift giving.
Athena Mauga, one of the advisors of SOFIAS, said Ms Simanu’s mother joined them for the gift presentation today.
This is SOFIAS’ way of spreading the joy of Chrstimas to the children who will be spending their Christmas in the hospital and also show appreciation to the LBJ nurses.
