Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga has approved a 3rd Medical Charter on January 8, 2021, being coordinated by the Medicaid agency, LBJ Hospital and Hawaiian Airlines (HAL).

All non-Medicaid covered passengers must submit their names to the Medicaid office to get on the charter waiting list. Following is the priority of passengers.

Priority#1: LBJ referral patients and their escorts.
Priority#2: Veterans needing medical care but have no travel benefits must be referred from the VA office and the LBJ hospital. They must also provide their Summary of Benefits Letter from the VA.
Priority#3: Repatriation passengers who were on the October charter list but did not make the cut for available seats.
Priority#4: All others will be considered if there are any leftover seats.

KEY DEADLINES:
Dec. 15-Dec.21—Medicaid to screen LBJ patient referral cases and allowable escorts.
Dec. 18, Friday– LBJ to submit final referral patient and escort names to Medicaid.
Dec. 21, Monday—Medicaid to submit final patient list to HAL for Fit-to-Fly screening.
Dec. 23, Wednesday–Medicaid confirms all repatriation passengers from October list.
Dec. 30, Wednesday– HAL confirms final completion of Fit-to-Fly referral patients.
Dec. 31, Thursday—Cargo space is available to ship cargo from Pago to Honolulu. All shippers must have their cargo into HAL Pago office by Dec. 31. HAL will issue an invoice for cargo fees and shippers must pick up a cargo payment form from Medicaid to pay the cargo at the Treasury.
Jan. 4 to Jan. 6—Passengers must pay cost share at Treasury. Medicaid staff will be at EOB to distribute payment forms to confirmed passengers.
