The Territorial Christmas Program will take place December 13-15 at the Fagatogo Pavilion.
The Amerika Samoa Council on Arts, Culture and Humanities has just completed auditions and according to Director Lauagaia Mary Taufetee, 34 groups have been selected to perform.
The groups are mainly church choirs, Sunday schools and youth groups. Three schools, Le’atele Elementary, Fagasa, Mt Alava Elementary Vatia and Leone High School and the Sosiaete o Faafafine i Amerika Smaoa, SOFIAS, are also in the line up.
The territorial Christmas tree and lights around the malae should be up next week.
The Jean P Haydon Museum staff will start putting up this week their holiday decorations which were very popular as a backdrop for holiday photos, last year.
The Territorial Christmas Program is coordinated by the Arts Council with assistance from the Department of Youth and Women Affairs and the Department of Agriculture.
