Fa’aso’o Mapu is charged with possession of marijuana and 2nd degree assault charge stemming from an incident back in January this year.
The government alleges that he assaulted a partygoer with an iron pipe causing serious injuries.
The incident happened January 22 at a birthday party to which 20 year old Mapu and the victim were both invited.
The drug charge is from a routine traffic stop by police for a missing number plate light of a car that the defendant was a passenger in.
Marijuana and methamphetamine were discovered on him.
His pretrial conference will be held December 22, 2020.
