Tomorrow is when Governor Lolo Moliga sits down with Governor-elect Lemanu Peleti Mauga and Lt Governor-elect Talauega Eleasalo Ale to discuss transition plans.

The meeting was confirmed by Governor Lolo’s Executive Assistant Iuloglogo Joseph Pereira.

Already the transition teams for Lemanu and Talauega have been given the areas that they should focus on when they fan out to government departments and authorities.

Malemo Tausaga who chaired the Lemanu Talauega Election Campaign said that they are awaiting the transition report from the Governor’s Office.

He quoted Chief of Staff Fiu Johnny Saelua saying the report should be completed maybe next week.

“We need to go through their transition report before our people can go in to begin their work,” said Malemo.

The Lemanu/Talauega transition team is headed by Tuimavave Tauapai Laupola.

When he was transferred from KVZK-TV Director to the Governor’s Office it was explained that he was to begin compiling the transition report.

But when Chief Procurement Officer Dr Oreta Crichton resigned to run for Congress, Tauapai was named acting CPO.

There are reports circulating that key directors for the new government have been named.

Malemo said only Governor-elect Lemanu and Lt Governor Talauega are privy to that information.
