The governor has suspended all ASG overtime after receiving many requests for overtime payments.

Governor Lolo Moliga said in a memo issued yesterday, “The increased flurry overtime request for my approval is alarming given thE absence for the need for incurrence except for the Department of Health and the Department of Port Administration dealing with COVID-19 mitigation issues. ”

He expressed disappointment this was still happening.

“It is disconcerting as well as it appears that the Directors are not monitoring closely the need to incur overtime, “ wrote the governor.

He reminded, “We have the standing policy requiring pre-approval of all overtime before they are incurred. The requests for overtime payments he’s received failed to comply with this policy and would therefore be subject to denial.“

Lolo declared, “As of the date of this writing, all overtime is to be suspended. “
At the same time he noted, “Notwithsanding, there are emergencies which complel the incurring of overtime.”

The governor reiterated, “The pre approval policy is being reemphasized and will be aggressively enforced. No overtime will be approved unless complied with this approval process.

Governor Lolo urged directors to take heed of this policy as no overtime is allowed unless its pre approval, is secured. “ The pre approval process will be authorized by the Governor.”
