So far the only query related to the general elections that the Election Office has received concerns the House of Representatives election for District #1, Manu’a.
Chief Election Officer, Dr. Lealofi Uiagalelei says a response will be issued on the complaint by Rep Vesi Talalelei Fautanu.
In the House race for District 1, Ta’u, Fitiuta and Faleasao, Alumamalu Ale Sea Filoialii won by one ballot over Rep Vesi, 283-282.
Vice Speaker Fetu Fetui retained his seat by topping the polls with 358 votes.
Uiagalelei says the election results will be certified tomorrow..
Because Wednesday is a holiday for Veterans Day, the official results will be published on Thursday.
