The roadside sales of palolo on Saturday morning was evidence that the November harvest of the delicacy was plentiful.
After a dismal swarming of the palolo last month, people who went out on boats early Saturday were richly rewarded. They were able to fill coolers and other containers with the greenish brownish sea worms.
Steady winds pushed the palolo to shore and some “okay catches” were reported from the east side hunting spots.

At Alega Beach a live video by Tisa Faamuli of the palolo hunt on Facebook showed a big crowd scooping up palolo near the shore and everyone had something to take home.

As for palolo sales, prices ranged from $25 for a small ziploc bag or 8 ounce foam cup of palolo to as much as $60 for a fistful of palolo or ofu palolo.
