Leone High School is hosting a House of Representatives candidates forum today at the Leone Gymnasium.
Organized by Leone’s Social Studies Department, it will include men and women whose names are on
the ballot for the House race in Districts 13-17, namely Fofo, Alataua, Tuala-uta, Tuala-tai and Leasina.
Out of the 15 candidates running in the five districts, 12 have confirmed according to the head of the Social Studies Department Lata Samuelu.
She says the candidates have been given the general topics of the questions which will come from the student body: drugs, suicide, technology, school improvements and village safety. They have not seen the actual questions.
The moderators are Leone High alums Lina Petaia Suisala and Li’avasa Andrew Sunia. It’s from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm and will be streamed on the Liona Mataalia and Leone PTA FaceBook pages.
