Governor Lolo Moliga has asked directors who are actively criticizing the work of the administration to resign. If they don’t, he will act accordingly.
Lolo makes the call in a memo date today with the subject: Loyalty and Commitment to the administration.
The governor starts off saying personal involvement in campaigning is the director’s right protected by law and he has encouraged all of them to exercise their political freedom to support the candidate deemed to reflect their values, hopes and dreams.
He said it’s natural to expect loyalty and support from them along with advancing and defending their administration’s policies, adding that as members of the Lolo Lemanu cabinet, “they have the moral and ethical responsibility to defend and protect the policies of the administration.”
Said the governor, “Regrettably and sadly some of you are personally involved in the development and public propagation of political advertisements attacking the veracity and integrity of the administration’s policies and programs and budgets. “
He said such actions “constitute disloyalty, betrayal, duplicity and infidelity to your commitment to this administration. It is also doubly sorrowful for me that the advertisements against the administration are from those who should be championing the legacy of the administration.”
The governor lays down the gauntlet. “It is only fair, therefore that those of you directors who are actively criticizing the work of the administration to please vacate your posts by submitting your resignation as it is obvious that you no longer support its policies and programs.
“If not, I will act accordingly, It is unfortunate that this action is taken but loyalty, faithfulness, allegiance , commitment and devotion reflect values, that bound us together to do the work for which the people elected us.”
