Samoa Airways may soon be operating their new leased plane to replace Air New Zealand for the current schedule of repatriation flights from New Zealand and Australia.

Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi said on TV3 Samoa on Wednesday afternoon that there is some concern over sudden scheduling changes with Air New Zealand.

He said that Fiji Airways may be asked to make the flights.

‘’Cabinet has instructed Samoa Airways management to look into the possibility of bringing forward the arrival of the new plane,’’ he said.

Air New Zealand had recently postponed a flight planned from Australia with repatriated Samoan students from China and Japan.
