Two ASG vehicles were reportedly seen at recent campaign events and according to Governor Lolo Moliga, an investigation to identify the culprits is underway.
He said even if the vehicles have private license plates, if they are leased to the government they cannot be used for political campaigns.
The governor again reminded directors that the law prohibits the use of government property for political activities.
He told directors it’s not a good thing to use their vehicles for campaigning.
“If you go to campaign meetings you should leave the government vehicle and use your your vehicle,” he advised.
The governor asked the Commissioner of Public Safety to strictly enforce ASG’s vehicle policy, noting that towards the end of the administration employees seem to thank they can do whatever they want.
He said only directors and those who are authorized to use ASG vehicles after hours should be seen on the road during non working hours.
