Recognizing Some Signs of Distress can Save Lives

There are tell tale signs that people with suicide on their minds will show and recognizing those signs early may help save a life.

Raising awareness about the mental state of those with suicidal thoughts, how those around them can intervene, and where to go to for help are some of the issues that have been discussed by government agencies and organizations in response to recent suicides in the territory.

The Department of Health is taking the lead in establishing a 24-hour suicide prevention hotline, counseling services and other support activities.

Psychologist Dr. Jueta McCutcheon of the VA Clinic spoke on the Morning Show today about some of the signs to watch out for.
