
A summary of COVID-19 Grant Funding which was distributed to senators last week shows the total amount awarded to ASG was $155.7 million.
As of June 17, 2020 $111.3 million had been spent.
Here’s the breakdown of grant funds and recipients:

- Treasury, Coronavirus Relief Fund-$35.1 million
- Treasury, Stimulus funds- $32 million
- Dept of Human Resources -$16.2 million
- Dept of Human and Social Services -$6.9 million
- Dept of Health- $6.3 million
- LBJ Hospital -$4.8 million
- DMWR-$2.5 million
- Criminal Justice Planning- $2.2 million
- American Samoa Community College-$1.6 million
- Port Administration-$1.3 million
- Public Works – $1.1 million
- Dept of Commerce-$799,000
- TAOA-$650,000
- Election Office-$600,000
- Dept of Homeland Security-$259,000
- Office of Public Information-$260,000
DOI also awarded to ASG $4 million in technical assistance related to COVID-19.
For the Coronavirus Relief Fund of $35.1 million, ASG had spent $9.4 million as of June 17.
The report says the funds are for:
- ASG personnel and authorities labor costs
- Airlines/charter expenses
- Task Force and Working Group Stipends
- Meals for Quarantine Centers
- TBAS COVID shipment costs
- COVID-19 Public Awareness Ads
- Private Schools Fund Allocations.
This is the source of funds for the half a million dollars given to each of the Fono and the High Court.
