There’s no Fourth of July parade planned but the America Samoa Veterans Association is doing a wave to celebrate Independence Day on Saturday at McDonald’s in Tafuna from 6am-7am.
Right after, the Veterans Association will hold a BBQ at the VA Memorial Monument across from ANZ Bank in Tafuna.
South Pacific Water Sports and Fitness Center 4th of July Freedom Run is also on Saturday.
The race starts at 7am at SPW in Utulei up to Blunts Point then return to SPW while the more advanced runners continue onto the Aerial Tramway then return to SPW.
All will enjoy a pancake breakfast at the finish line.
The US Army will also be there.
