National Marine Sanctuary features in Changing Seas

A new documentary film from PBS’ Changing Seas, a public television series, will feature the National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa and other local resource management partners such as Department of Marine & Wildlife Resources, Coral Reef Advisory Group, National Park of American Samoa, and NOAA Tula Observatory.

The title of the episode is “American Samoa’s Resilient Coral Reefs” and is free to watch.

This film explores American Samoa’s underwater treasures with a focus on the resilient corals including interviews of science experts, and shares the unique connection between Samoan culture and the ocean.

There will also be an interactive live virtual screening on Tuesday, July 28 ‪at 11:00 a.m.‬ (American Samoa time) where participants can ask questions to a panel of local experts from National Marine Sanctuary of American Samoa, American Samoa Coral Reef Advisory Group, and National Park of American Samoa.
