After the first two weeks of repatriation flights from Samoa , 115 people are in quarantine at Sadies by the Sea and the DWYA Center in Pago Pago.  Sixty three are at the DWYA Center and 52 are at Sadies by the Sea.

The number of travelers on the flights for the first two weeks was actually 118 but two people were allowed to quarantine at home and the 3rd person is a Samoa Airways pilot for the Manu’a flights.

According to the Department of Health presentation at Sunday’s Coronavirus Task Force meeting, of those returning from Samoa, 82 are citizens of Samoa,  20 are American Samoans,  11 are US citizens, two are from New Zealand, two from China and one from Fiji.  Acting Attorney General Mitzie Jessop Taase said that all of the foreigners are legal residents of American Samoa.

There was concern that people stranded in Hawaii and the mainland may be finding alternate routes to return to the territory via Samoa.  But Director of Health Motusa Tuileama Nua said that they check on the travel history of travelers to ensure that they have not traveled from outside of Samoa.  The number of people who traveled to Samoa on the return flights is 100.

When asked about the number of remaining travelers awaiting flights to return to the territory,  the Acting AG said this is not certain.  But originally their estimate was 160 people.

The next repatriation flights from Samoa are set for tomorrow when the Catholic Church’s Fatuoaiga Center will be ready to quarantine travelers.
