HEART grant for cultural & humanities programs

The Amerika Samoa Humanities Council has received funding under the Coronaviris Aid, Relief and Economic Security (CARES) Act to help local non profit organizations who have been impacted by COVID -19.
The Humanities Emergency Assistance Relief Term (Heart) grant of $200,000 is through the National Endowment for the Arts.
The  Humanities Council is accepting applications from organizations and agencies that provide cultural and humanities services.  Individuals are not eligible.
Executive Directer of the Humanities Council Taua Niualama Taifane explained that the agencies that would qualify include the library, national park and museum.
Youth groups and other organizations that do cultural programs are also eligible.
The deadline to apply is June 18.  Application forms and eligibility requirements are found on the Humanities Council website ashcouncil.org
