1:48 pm….A high wind warning is now in effect for all of American Samoa.
The active monsoon trough with a possible developing tropical cyclone near the Samoa Islands will bring damaging Northeast to Northwest winds of 40 to 60 MPH with higher gusts.
Saturday Night: 23-35mph
Sunday: 40-50mph
Sunday Night/Monday Morning: up to 60 mph
Strong and damaging winds will make driving difficult, cause power outages from downed power lines, uproot trees, blow away loose and unsecured objects, cause damage to roofs, small outdoor buildings, tents and outdoor kitchens.
