Drugs were found in a police raid at the Airport Rescue and Fire Fighting, (ARFF) Building at the airport last Friday morning.  This is believed to be the first time that the police has raided a government facility for drugs.

Preliminary information indicates that drugs, specifically ice, were being distributed from the facility.

The office of the ARFF chief, who is currently off island, is one of the two parts of the facility where crystal methamphetamine was found.

An ARFF employee Derek Sappa was taken in for questioning during the raid.

KHJ News understands that two other men from his village were also taken into custody. Sources say the value of the drugs found was $200,000.
