The 5th JPS Paradise Classic starts January 6 at the Aloha Stadium and American Samoa will be well represented.
The team of 7 and 8th Grade players, the high school football all stars, coaches, officials and a few parents, leave December 31 st.
The measles outbreak has disrupted practice but with several days in Honolulu before the Classic starts, Commissioner Tupuola Butch Taase says that will give the boys and coaches time to hone in their game plan.
The team is having a radiothon on 93 KHJ tomorrow morning to help pay some of their expenses while in Honolulu. Commissioner Taase is calling on the public for help.
