The measles outbreak is not dampening the Christmas spirit for residents of Aoloau and Aasu.
On Sunday evening a ceremony was held at Aoloau to turn on the colorful display of Christmas trees, figurines and lights in the Aoloau and Aasu Christmas Village.
Talking Chief Moanan Va said 20 companies with ties to Aoloau and Aasu contributed to the display this year, joining churches, families and aumaga. 
Its been left to each family to have trees and lights or anything Chrissmasy by the roadside, from the Christmas village to the end of Aasu village.
