With tonight’s Hawaiian Air flight airport security will not be allowing persons other than travelers to congregate in the terminal building for both departures and arrivals.

Under the continued public health emergency declaration only travelers will be allowed in the terminal building on Hawaiian Air flight nights.

Deputy Director of Port Administration Christopher King says security will verify that those who enter are travelers and they will only allow non travelers to drop off passengers and then leave.

He said, “we will not let people gather like they usually do when seeing of travelers.”

And for arrivals, King said they will not allow people to wait around for arriving passengers, but just pick them up when they come out then leave.

He said tonight will be the test night for enforcement of the rules prompted by the measles outbreak
