Director of the American Samoa Medicaid Office Sandra King Young reported at yesterday’s cabinet meeting that they were having issues with patients returning to the territory after treatment in New Zealand due to the proof of measles immunization requirements.

She said there were 60 patients heading home from New Zealand and because they were away when the proof of immunizations rules went into effect her office needshelp from the Department of Health to clear them for travel from Samoa.

When asked today, King Young said last weekeSamoa Airways would not allow  returning patients to board the plane to Pago Pago without DOH approval.

But  she said the issue has been resolved and American Samoa residents are being hallowed to enter at the airport
