Solip Hong appointed to ASTCA Board

Businessman Mr. Solip Hong has been appointed to the board of the American Samoa Telecommunications Authority.

In a memo announcing the appointment, Governor Lolo Moliga said Mr Solip Hong is  president and CEO of KS Incorporated which is one of the largest supermarkets in the territory and a shipping agency that services 80% of the commercial fishing boats that call into American Samoa.

Lolo said as a 2nd generation manager, he has diversified his family’s company into various new markets.

He opened a restaurant, Korner Café in 2015, the same year he opened the first locally owned liquid propane gas company known as Le Afi Enegy Inc.

The governor added that Mr Hong is selflessly serving as a member of the Board of the American Samoa Power Authority, the Shipyard Authority, American Samoa Hawaiki Cable, and Chairman of the American Samoa Fisheries Task Force.

Said Lolo, “Mr. Hong has been very generous with his time evidenced by his aggressive participation in meetings and activities of ASG entities to which he has been assigned.”
