As of 3 this afternoon divers had not found any trace of cousins Alex Peric,18, and Anthony Leota, 17. The two disappeared while on an outing with church youth at Utumea Beach on Saturday.

Family members and friends of the two boys who have been camping out at Utumea Beach since Saturday afternoon have not lost hope.

Messages of love and hope have filled up the Face Book pages of the two young men.

“Father please guide them back safely. Please pray for our dear brothers lost at sea,” wrote Akoa Stowers Lelei.

“God please lead my homies back home and I know anything is possible with your guidance to each and everyone of us,” posted Sherman Lekea, adding, “I know you guys got this and believe that you Anthony can always work anything through. Omai loa lea faakali aku makou (come now we are waiting for you).

Neymar Tualaulelei posted, “Just not feeling it,. I just wanna hear the news that Anthony Leota and Alex Peric are back and safe.”

From Brandon Leovao, “God please help them come back to us. We’ve lost so many young ones this year. All we can do now is pray. Prayer Warriors please pray. The God we serve makes anything possible. ”

Alex Peric, who graduated from Tafuna High School in June was described by one of his teachers, Suki Iosefo Ale, as “a God fearing young man who would light up the room with his smile.”

She said.”I pray they will find them.”

Poueu Petelo wrote on Alex’s Face Book page, “Please come home ma brothers. Please I love you guys! I wish I was there when it happened ma brothers. Come now please. We are still waiting Alex Peric, Anthony Leota.”
