The Samoa Police Service has issued a stop order on a woman who is believed to have been the last person seen with a man who has been missing for two weeks.

Samoa Observer reports Acting Police Commissioner Papalii Monalisa Keti confirmed the order was issued on an unnamed woman who lives overseas.

The stop order was issued last week.

“At this stage it is still considered a missing persons case unless there is sufficient evidence to suggest whether foul play was involved,” said the Acting Police Commissioner.

Semi Le’au of Solosolo was last seen heading out to swim at the Ocean Club Maninoa Resort in the early hours of July 23 and has not been seen since.

Resort Manager Alexandria Meredith said that Le’au had checked into the resort with an unidentified woman.

She said she was told the morning after they checked in that the couple had gone swimming and had never returned.

“So I called the Police and left it with them,” she said.

Police are apealling to the public for any information regarding the missing man.
