Governor Lolo Moliga and Samoa Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi will lead a telethon/radiothon tomorrow at the guesthouse at Suigaula o le Atuvasa in aid of the Manu Samoa’s World Cup Campaign.
Tuilaepa, the chairman of the Samoa Rugby Union requested the help of American Samoa for the rugby team and the telethon/radiothon is American Samoa’s response to the request.
The Rugby World Cup is in Japan in September.
The telethon/radiothon with the theme, “Ua Le Ma Le Mativa”, opens at 6 am and will be aired on KVZK-TV and V103 Radio.
Prime Minister Tuilaepa is leading a group from Samoa arriving this evening for the fundraiser.
Rev. Elder Ioane Evagelia of the Utulei CCCAS will deliver the opening prayer followed by remarks from Governor Lolo and PM Tuilaepa.
Tuilaepa will then push a wheelbarrow to collect donations from the governor and cabinet who will be meeting in the Guesthouse at Suiga Ula at 9am.
