First night of SYJ was electrifying

The first concert of the Samoa Youth Jam  with the Katina Brothers, comedian Tofiga Fepuleai and friends at the DYWA Center in Pago Pago last night had the audience singing and dancing, clapping and cheering from start to finish.

While the center was not packed, the energy and enthusiasm from the performers and the crowd was electrifying.

Local talent like Isu Pouesi were curtain openers and Tofiga of the Laughing Samoans fame prepped up the crowd for the main attraction, the Katinas.

The brothers had praise songs, pop songs and Samoan songs.

And in between their singing they talked about their personal life stories.

Their underlying message for the youth was God has a plan for you and never lose hope.

The daughters of some of the brothers danced to Samoan classics that they sang.
