Tuala-uta Representative Larry Sanitoa has received offers of assistance  from some of the residents and property owners near the Kokoland and Fagaima intersection  to use their land as a temporary solution for the flooding on the Fagaima road every time it rains.

The faipule along with officials from Public Works and the Office of Disaster Assistance and Petroleum Management had a walk through the  area behind the home of former Tuala-uta faipule Vui Florence Saulo which is where the deluge of water comes from during heavy rains.

Sanitoa was informed that funding is being allocated for the Fagaima Mitigation project  to the tune of $8 million.

The job would involve piping the water from the back of Vui’s home, take it along the Fagaima road and to the drainage that was laid in the Airport Road project.

The Tuala–uta faipule says he has faith that the administration will make this project happen according to their projected time line , which is by the end of 2020.
