LDS Church President to visit Samoa

About 10,000 people are expected at the LDS Church College fields at Peseta tomorrow where the church president, Russel Nelson, will address members of the church from Samoa and American Samoa during a devotional service.

This will also be broadcast to Stake Centers in Samoa and American Samoa so those who cant be present can hear and see the church leader.

President Nelson who is on a Pacific tour, arrives at Faleolo Airport tomorrow afternoon then will pay a courtesy visit to the Head of State.

The devotional service at Pesega is from 7:00 – 9:00 tomorrow evening.

The 94 year old president wll depart the next morning for Australia.

Both Samoa Airways and Talofa Airways have added extra flights to accommodate the demand for seats from memebrs of the LDS Church in American Samoa who want to witness President Nelson’s visit.

Last month Presidnt Nelson announced that an LDS Temple will be built in American Samoa.
