The oohs and aahs and excitement of the young and young at heart who packed the Suiga ula o le Atuvasa Saturday for the fire works show was undoubtedly  one of the highlights of the 2019 flag Day celebration.

The show which lit up Pago Pago  Harbor for about 30 minutes topped off a very successful Family Day for the We Are One Festival.

There were truck and bus loads of people from all over the island out at the beach to watch the multi cultural entertainment and wait for the fire works show which was made possible by Pago Pago Trading Company, Blue Sky, McConnell Dowell, with the assistance of the Chinese, Korean and Filipino communities.

The beach area from Sadies by the Sea all the way past Gataivai was packed with people  who turned out to watch the
show.

Residents, young and old screamed and cheered while their eyes were glued to the  sparkling skies.

There was little space on the sandy side of Utulei Beach to maneuver as residents, young and old brought their mats, chairs and towels to sit on and enjoy the fireworks.

Some were in the water swimming and cheering as the fireworks show got underway.

Anyone with a tablet or cell phone held them up  to get video footage of the fireworks.

During the day there was something for everyone.  Jumping houses for the children at the Centennial Building parking lot,  a talent show for teens and another for adults, giveaways and vendors selling food, cotton candy, shave ice, bobba drinks ,  plants, clothing, handicrafts and locally grown produce.
