A man charged with sexually abusing a 13 year old girl has entered a plea agreement with the government .
Samoa News reports that Onosai Molesi, a father of 6, faced four felony charges: two counts of first degree sexual abuse, one count of deviate sexual assault and felonious restraint, and one misdemeanor charge, endangering the welfare of a child.
A court approved plea agreement has the defendant pleading guilty to one count of first degree sexual abuse and the other charges were dropped.
Molesi admitted that on September 21, 2017 he touched the breast of a 13-year-old girl .
The victim’s mother said in a statement to police that Molesi, who lives next to their home and was a friend of her husband, came to their house nearly every night to watch tv with her husband.
On a night when the girl’s parents were attending a church meeting and the victim was at home with just her young siblings, Molesi went to her home and found her sleeping alone on a couch in the sitting room.
He then touchéd the girl’s breast.
The victim awoke to find the defendant sitting beside her, she screamed and repeatedly told him to get out . Molesi, who was intoxicated, then left.
He will be sentenced June 6.
