Senate President says Governor Lolo out of ICU

Senate President Gaoteote Tofau Palaie says Governor Lolo Matalasi Moliga has been moved from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) into another medical ward where he is recovering well.

Samoa News reports that Gaoteote, who returned from the US last week, updated lawmakers on the health condition of the governor.

He said the governor, who is in a Seattle hospital, is recovering well and continues with medical check-ups.

The Senate President said he extended to Lolo, well wishes for a speedy recovery from the Senate, the Fono, and the people of American Samoa.

According to Gaoteote, the governor expressed appreciation and sends his regards and love.
