Leone High School was vandalized over the New Year holiday.

Science teacher Tautasi Falanai Jr told KHJ News that his was one of 6 classrooms broken into.

He said he was at the school after the Christmas holiday and his classroom was clean and everything that he uses for lessons was neatly packed in containers. He said whoever broke into the classrooms took everything out of the containers and tossed it around in the room.

Two other science classrooms (two English classrooms and one math classroom) were also targeted.

School administrators saw photos of the damage posted on Facebook and responded by going to the school New Year’s Day to check. They then filed a police report.

Falana’i said neighbors saw that the lights were on in some of the classrooms and went to  check.  They found the classroom doors ajar and saw that things were taken out of containers and dumped all over the classrooms.

Falanai said his science classroom has been trashed in the last few break-ins at Leone High School.

The school is taking an inventory to determine if anything was stolen and is also checking computers to see if any damage was done.

“Hopefully people with information can come forward so that the police can catch whoever is responsible,” said Falana’i.
