Raw meat and eggs were intended as part of an attack last evening on Samoa Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi while speaking in Brisbane, Australia for the launch of Samoa Airways inaugural flight to Brisbane.

According to a TV1Samoa report, two young Samoan men had entered the Catholic hall the PM was speaking at,  shouted profanities and threw an uncooked pigs head in the direction of the Prime Minister.

The pig head fell short of the intended target.

The report also said the young men had tried to throw eggs and a plastic bag full of raw meat at the PM as well.

According to the report, the Prime Minister had no security with him at the special function.

Male parishioners of the Catholic church stepped in and stopped the young men while Tuilaepa continued with his speech.

Australian Police are now investigating the incident.

Tuilaepa is travelling to the APEC meeting in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea.
