E la’ititi ae ma’ini is an apt Samoan adage that describes the oldest volunteer organisation in the territory, The Women’s Hospital Auxilliary even though their numbers continue to decline.

This week the Auxiliary handed over a check of $10,000 to the CEO of LBJ Hospital Faumuina John Faumuina to buy much needed supplies for the hospital.

On behalf of Auxilary President Mrs Suni Felise, Vice President Mrs Eseta Sataua, accompanied by members Diana Aitaoto, Tapai Tervola, and Ioana Vimoto handed over their generous donation.

The money was raised from the auxiliary’s concession at the hospital.

Faumuina expressed appreciation to the Auxiliary for their continued selfless efforts to help the hospital.

He acknowledged that thousands of dollars in specialized equipment has been acquired using donations from the volunteer group over the years.

The Auxiliary one of the oldest volunteer organizations in the territory is continually looking for women to replace their older members who are no longer able to serve.

If you want to help please go to the Auxiliary concession stand at the hospital and sign up.
