Flash Flood Warning in effect

The National Weather Service has issued a FLASH FLOOD WARNING for Tutuila, Aunu’u, Manu’a and Swains until 9:00 am this morning, November 05, 2018. This is due to an active surface trough across the Samoan Islands through tonight, Monday, November 05, 2018.

Be cautious of heavy ponding along the main road, strong runoffs, and overflow of streams that may cause hazard while walking or driving.

Move to higher ground or location immediately if your home is in a flood prone area.

A FLASH FLOOD WATCH remains in effect through Wednesday, November 07, 2018, and a HIGH SURF ADVISORY as well as a SMALL CRAFT ADVISORY are in place until Tuesday, November 06, 2018.

The American Samoa Department of Homeland Security – TEMCO will continue to monitor the situation and we will issue further bulletins if necessary.
