Pava’ia’i Elementary School has been struggling for years to have a gathering area where the students can congregate for assemblies.

And after many attempts by the school PTA to find ways to get the needed assistance, they decided to seek the help of former Tualauta Representative, Larry Sanitoa.

Some relief has come their way in the form of the “good samaritan” company, McConnell Dowell.

Sanitoa told KHJ News that he wrote to several companies seeking help for the school and McConnell Dowell came through.

The PTA has received a letter from Project Engineer, Toetau Pouli Tufuga indicating that the company would help after a site visit with PTA President Mr Apoga Custodio.

“We are good to proceed with the gathering area for the kids when our asphalt cement crew is definitely ready,” wrote Tufuga.

He also expressed appreciation for the opportunity McConnell Dowel has been given to “do this project for the community.”
