Police in Samoa are investigating the death of the Chief Exeutive Officer of the Unit Trust of Samoa, Sa’u Justine Sa’u on Sunday morning, Samoa time.
In a social media post, Samoa Police Service said they received a call from Tupua Tamasese Meaole Hospital at 4am Sunday reporting a 43 year old female who had been declared dead on arrival.
SPS said preliminary investigations indicate that the deceased, had taken her own life. However that post has since been taken down.
Samoa media report that an autopsy will be carried out to determine the cause of death and that investigations are continuing to determine whether any foul play is involved.
A man is being held by police for questioning.
