Ex-cop pleads guilty to deviate sexual assault

Former cop Okesene Alo yesterday entered a plea agreement with the government in connection with criminal activities at the Juvenile Detention Center where he worked.

He pled guilty to deviate sexual assault and the other charges against him, rape and first degree sexual abuse were dropped.

Alo admits that on May 21st, 2016 whuile working as a police officer at the JDC, he peformed sexual activities with a female detainee who was under 16 years old at the time, by inserting his finger into her private parts.

He is to be sentenced on November 2nd.

Alo was to be sentenced tomorrow morning for a separate conviction also from the time he was a cop at the Juvenile Detention Center. However his sentencing in that case will now be delivered on November 2.

A jury found him guilty of unlawful possession of methamphetamine, unlawful possession of marijuana, two counts of permitting a minor to escape and three misdemeanor counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Alo is in custody on a bond of $200,000.
