As of today the number of registered voters heading into the November 6 general elections stands at 15, 207.

According to Fiti Tavai of the Election Office about 20 new voters are coming in to register every day.

Local absentee balloting continues at the Election Office in Tafuna for those who will be traveling and will not be here on November 6. The number of local absentee votes cast so far is 40.

Off island ballot forms mailed out by the Election Office to date is 14.

The Election Office reminds those requesting off island absentee ballots that the deadline for such requests is October 23rd.

If any candidate running for Delegate to Congress or one of the House of Representatives seats wants to withdraw from the election due to health reasons, the deadline to do so is October 26th at 4:30 pm.

Eligible voters who havent yet registered are reminded that the deadline for new voter registration, name change , and transfers is October 9.

And voters who will not make it to their polling place due to health conditions, or disabled voters, are asked to please contact the Election Office for assistance with their absentee ballot voting.

The deadline for local absentee voting is November 5, 2018, which is the eve of Election Day 2018.
