Governor explains role of Paul Young

Finding non traditional sources of funding for economic development is one of the tasks that the latest recruit for the Governor’s Office, former Managing Director of the American Samoa Power Authority, Paul Young, is tasked with.

Young has been a project manager and international development and management consultant for public and private organization in the US, East and Southeast Asia, Polynesia Micronesia and Melanesia.

In East Timor he was an advisor on various capacity building projects funded by the United Nations.

At last week’s cabinet meeting, Governor Lolo said that he learned Young was about to leave the territory after his resignation from ASPA but called him in to discuss how ASG can make use his expertise.
