A man that the Chief Justice has called a sexual predator will be jailed for 15 years for the three counst of incest that he pled guilty to.

Wayne Smith was initially charged with 17 counts including  sodomy,  first degree sexual abuse,  incest and endangering the welfare of a child for forcing his step daughter to have sex over a two year period.

In a plea bargain with the government,  he pled guilty to three counts of incest.

The 15-year jail term he received today was the maximum sentence for the offences he pled guilty to.

After apologizing to the court and saying that his ambitious lifestyle distanced him from God, Smith pleaded for mercy from the court so that he can take care of his wife and son.

Prosecutor Christy Dunne asked for the maximum sentence reminding  the court that the victim was subjected over and over again to the defendant’s heinous behavior.

Before he delivered sentencing, Chief Justice Kruse summarized the case.

The defendant admitted that he had sexual conduct with his stepdaughter who was a high school sophomore.

He had sexual intercourse with the girl at various occasions in the span of 2 years at home and sometime in his vehicle when he picks her up from school.

The defendant even went as far as creating a FaceBook page to monitor his stepdaughter’s activities and also  her friends.

And it was  through the Face Book  page that the victim’s friends discovered that it was the defendant pictured in disgusting and vile pictures with the child.

Kruse even described the defendant as a sexual predator.

Smith was sentenced to 5 years for each of the three counts of incest which means he will be locked up for a total of 15 years.

Furthermore, Smith is to be registered as a sexual offender and will be subjected  to  HIV testing.

Smith was represented by the law firm of Richard deSalles.
