Samoa Prime Minister Tuilaepa Sailele Malielegaoi has denied he offered a $SATmillion reward for information leading to the identification of internet blogger O Le Palemia.

“There is no reward and I will never authorize such a reward,” said Tuilaepa in a media release.

But he did confirm that the Attorney General’s Office has been tasked with preparing the legal process to ensure ghost writers are brought to trial to answer “their defamatory allegations which has blatantly violated the constitutional rights of some members of the innocent public”.

“They must answer to their slander, personal vendetta and unsubstantiated malice posted freely without consequences virally.”

The PM said he has kept no secret in publicly condemning the miss-use of social media which has defeated the genuine purpose behind the government’s investment to improve the country’s ICT capacities for the benefit of the people.
