Defeated Samoan heayyweight boxer La’auli Joseph Parker may have been defeated in his unification title fight, but his trainer believes his charge will be back and will definitely have another chance at Anthony Joshua.
Kevin Barry told reporters after the fight that his fighter was beaten by a better fighter on the night.
“But this is all good experience for him and he will be back a better fighter for it. One thing is clear, and that is Joseph will fight Joshua again,” he told reporters as they were leaving Wales yesterday.
La’auli did make history becoming the first boxer to go the full rounds with Joshua who has won all his earlier 20 professional fights by knockout.
It is not clear when he will be back in the ring again but if he doesn’t, he has 15 million reasons not to feel too bad about losing his WBO world title.
Team Parker received $NZ15 million for the fight.
