Response to AMEN Clinics show demand for health care

The large crowd which turned out on this first day of the free clinics offered by the Adventist Medical Evangelism Network reflected the demand for free health services in the territory.

There were lots of elderly people in the crowd.

Though they had to wait 1-2 hours to be seen they were nevertheless thankful to be seen by the team of doctors and specialists.

Most of those who turned up today needed to have their eyes checked. Some will receive free eye glasses.

Tafa Tupuola, a member of the Lions Club, which is co-sponsoring the eye care clinic, said the doctors and nurses from the US are volunteering this services for this mission.
