Blue Sky donates $2,000 to Hope House

Hope House, celebrating its 30th anniversary this week, received a $2000 donation from Blue Sky on Monday,

A team of Blue Sky managers led by Interim Country Manager – Raj Deo visited the home at Fatuoaiga to present the gift.

According to a press release from the phone company, Bluesky, the preferred telecommunications provider for Hope House has always been supportive of the work and service the special facility provides for the elderly and children with special needs of American Samoa.

Each year Blue Sky participates in the annual Hope House Golf Tournament fundraisers either by sponsoring a team or two, providing prizes for the raffle and/or donating in-kind services.

In addition, Bluesky has initiated text promotions for visits by organizations such as the Jim Jones and Troy Polamalu foundations whereby the telecommunication company matches total funds raised and donate them to Hope House.

Bishop Peter Brown and members of the Hope House Board received the check and expressed appreciation to the management and staff of Blue Sky for their generosity,

The check presentation occurred on the day one of the eldest residents of Hope House, Mrs Faiai’ai Mata’u celebrated her birthday. She turned 92 that day.

After the presentation, the Blue Sky group was given a tour of Hope House by Manager Mrs Beatrice Mageo.
